Colt's 9 month check up went pretty well. He is still a little guy in the 25th to 30th percentile in height and weight. He weighed 18.7 lbs and 27 3/4" long. He gained less than 2 lbs from his 6 month visit which made the nurse a little conserned, but when the doctor came in he wasn't worried about it. I guess Colt is so active he can't keep the weight on. The poor little guy had to get the flu shot and get tested for lead. This was a lot harder on me than his newborn shots, I guess because he has a more intense cry and moves all over the place. I had to pin him down so the nurse could give him the shot in his thigh and hold him down in my lap while the lab tech filled a vile of blood from his finger tip all while he was screaming. It was torture!!! :( Next time Daddy gets to come with me.
On a good note he is very healthy and we get to start introducing more solid foods he can feed to himself. Here is a list of some of the things he is doing.....
Waves bye bye
Is walking on his own (only for 5 ro 6 steps)
Crawling everywhere
Likes to play peek a boo ( he'll crawl around a corner and you ask "where's Colt" and he'll come crawling out with a big grin and turn around and hide again)
Babbling or baby talk
Likes to push any object that he can (the other day he rearranged all our kitchen chairs)
Dances to any tune he hears
Just learning to clap (he hits the top of his hand instead of palm to palm)
